Services · Japan production support

Local producer and fixer support for sports media projects in Japan.

Working with Japanese clubs, athletes and sports organisations often requires more than translation.

I help international media understand the local landscape, identify the right people to approach, communicate effectively with the Japanese side and coordinate projects once they move into production.

01
What I do

Support on the Japanese side of your production.

01

Research & Story Development

I research Japanese clubs, athletes, organisations, experts and industry developments to help shape projects before production begins. This includes identifying potential protagonists, exploring story angles, providing local context and assessing what is realistically achievable in Japan.

02

Outreach & Access Support

I identify and approach relevant clubs, athletes, federations, experts and organisations in Japanese, explain the project and help establish the right point of contact. I also support the process of arranging interviews and filming access.

Final access and participation always remain subject to approval by the organisation or individual involved.
03

Production Coordination

I coordinate the practical Japanese side of a production, including communication with participants, scheduling, local logistics and shoot-day support. Depending on the project, I work as a local producer, production coordinator or fixer, acting as the link between the international production team and the Japanese side.

04

Interpreting & Local Context

I provide Japanese–English interpreting for interviews, meetings and production. My role is not only to translate words, but also to help both sides understand the context, expectations and communication style behind them.

02

Research & Outreach

I research the local context, identify relevant people or organisations and begin outreach where required.

03

Planning & Coordination

I coordinate communication, scheduling and practical arrangements with the Japanese side.

04

Production in Japan

I provide on-the-ground coordination, interpreting and local support so the international team can focus on the story.
