01 — Background

Local experience, media instincts and a sports-business perspective.

DG Sports Media grew out of several strands of my professional life that kept crossing: journalism, sport, Japan and international communication.

I completed an Executive MBA in Sports Management at the Real Madrid Graduate School – Universidad Europea, alongside additional sport management study at The George Washington University School of Business.

During the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games, I worked as an Olympic and Paralympic Attaché, gaining direct experience inside one of the world’s largest international sporting events and working across Japanese and international environments.

Alongside sport, I work professionally in international journalism in Tokyo, where research, outreach, interviewing, cross-cultural communication and multimedia production are part of my everyday work.

03 — Working across languages

Direct communication without an extra language layer.

I work professionally in Japanese, English and Russian, allowing me to support both English- and Russian-speaking media teams directly in Japan.

That matters not only during interviews. It also helps with outreach, meetings, scheduling, production communication and the small expectations that can get lost when everything passes through several people.

04 — DG Sports Media

Where these different strands came together.

In 2026, the Briobecca Urayasu documentary project with Shamge Films brought together the skills I had been using separately for years: sports knowledge, local outreach, production coordination, interpreting and international media work.

That project became the foundation for DG Sports Media — an independent practice focused on connecting international media with Japanese sport.
